    Twice upon the River Cam

    July 21, 2019 in England ⋅ ⛅ 21 °C

Great to be back out on the Cam again - and we had the delightful treat of being able to go out twice today, on two different modes of transport no less! First was the traditional punting experience, which we did along the backs out to the Granta. As we had 10 people, we needed two punts: Meg went with Anna and the girls, together with Uncle Lee as primary punter; while Mommy went with the boys, punted by Poppy. Davy, Uncle Andy and Jake also had a chance to try their hands at punting - and we can proudly report that nobody from either punt fell into the river!

Later on in the afternoon, we managed to squeeze in a chance visit with Sarah, an old friend from Pembroke, who kindly took us all on a grand tour of her narrowboat home - then spoiled us with a short cruise alongside the Midsummer Common and Jesus Green. Everyone, especially Eva, thoroughly enjoyed the narrowboat visit - really love what Sarah’s done with the beautiful flower baskets, brightening up her unique and super cool home on the Cam.
