Glaciers are absolutely insane in my opinion.

This glacier is about 30km long and moves ~2m a day. So the ice we can see upfront is about 400-500 years old. Absolute madness.

It was one of the last stable glaciers on earth which means it gained as much ice as it lost, but this changed in 2014 for the first time. Now it is retrieving at a fast pace.

The sound when a block of ice crashes into the water is so loud, you cannot imagine. Like if someone shot a gun right next to you. 🤯Read more
