The Kelpies

We had evening entertainment planned this day with a visit to the Kelpies, hoping to see them at nighttime. Ultimately, we saw them lit up from inside but not quite what we had in mind, but we'd just forgotten how long it takes to get dark at night this far north.

However, seeing the Kelpies - these massive magnificent horse structures - at sunset was something very very special indeed. While waiting for the sun to go down we got chatting to an Australian lady clearly on something of a trip herself with her husband.
