We did walk through Wallingford today which looked like a lovely pretty village, in much the same way Benson was yesterday too. Both places we’d certainly come back to.
During today’s walk, we were still mainly walking on the edges of fields but a few made paths and a short run entering Moulsford where there was a very narrow section by the railway and then a dullLäs mer
We timed our arrival to our hotel well in the end, arriving in time for the end of Sunday lunch service which was very welcome indeed!
Today was a return to exercising in Reading but obviously a very different exercise to the many, many times I’ve run around there in the past. But there was about 10 miles to go before we’d gotLäs mer
Then downhill again towards Pangbourne and a break at the Swan after having spent five minutes trying to find a member of staff to make it clear that the pub was open and not just deserted. The viewLäs mer
The rest of the walk today had been done by us before at one time or another. We’d had a long walk from Mapledurham to Pangbourne and back again previously and today we just had the walkLäs mer
Then it was “just” the final stretch along from Tilehurst station to wherever we were going to choose to finish the day which hadn’t been set in stone – we knew the Thames Path around ReadingLäs mer
