    Drove from Forbes, setup in Brewery Road free camp. Lots of mud around bur found a dry spot. Drove around town and to tourist info centre. Rang a/c for a couple of hours before getting generator out. Checked out Sky walk and amazing aqua centre. Very hot arvo and night, lots of rain overnight.Weiterlesen

    Lots of rain over night but OK where we were camped. Drove from Narrandra to free camp at Rail Bridge View free camp in Victoria. Very hot but found a spot over looking Murray. Drive around town checking out some other camps. Found a good spot down the road but almost got bogged in the sand even without van.Weiterlesen

    Left Tocumwal, very cool morning. Traveled to Cobram to dump point and fill water. Stopped at Silo art at Katamatite then on through Sheperton where we fuelled up ($104.75). To the Green lake to setup new camp. Had lunch then drove to Rochester. To IGA and checked out lots of murals and Silo art. Back to our camp at Green Lake.Weiterlesen

    Free camp. Traveled from Green lake, setup camp at Huntly reserve, just a camp in the bush but good for a couple of nights. To the Huntly hotel for lunch then filled up with water at the park. Into Bendigo for a look, to Super Cheap Auto for a couple of small tarps. Drove around and bit the to the Reject shop and Aldi.Weiterlesen

    Free camp. Day 2. Into Bendigo to do the talking tram trip ($15 each). Caught the 11am tram at the Central Deborah gold mine for a trip around city. Got off in CBD and walked around then lunch at Subway. More walking though park, lost phone, tried to find then started to ring it, after about 20 ring attempts phone was turned off. To Kmart for Leanne to get a couple of pairs of sandles then to Officeworks for a replacement phone. Arranged for a new SIM to be sent to Devonport. Topped up fuel at Epsom.Weiterlesen

    SOT. Left Meridth about 10am, traveled to Geelong, found a quiet spot to park at Osbourne house. Walked along foreshore to the redeveloped Federation Wool Mills complex. Had a coffee at The Bakery. Checked out an amazing op shop. Walked back to van via derelict power hose building. Lined up for SOT boarding, arrived about 3 1/2 hours before departure and waited almost 2 1/2 hours to board. We were the last group to board. Found our cabin then had a look around ferry. To the smorgasbord for dinner. Then upto level seven and listened to some live music for an hour or so. As we left Port Philip bay, seas became rough and stayed that way till around 4:00 am. Showered and went to bed.Weiterlesen

    $7 / n. Disembarked SOT and headed to Railton. A bit early to check into the CMCA park, so pulledup at football ground for coffee and toast. Around 8:30, we checked in at CMCA camp. Drove back into Devonport to Coles, Liquorland, and PO. Back to camp for a sleep.Weiterlesen

    CMCA $7/n. Drove into Devonport and picked up phone Sim, case and screen. Drove around foreshore and river. Coffee at an aboriginal shop near the Hat lighthouse. To Coles and did groceries. Back to Latrobe and had lunch in the park. Then on to an Everything shop in Latrobe.Weiterlesen

    Free camp. Drive around mountains, headed to Liffery falls along a very narrow road. On arrival looked at track and decided thongs weren't the best footwear. Left and drove through Meander to Huntsman lake. Back to Deloraine for lunch in the park, then back th Westbury.Weiterlesen

    Free camp. Drove to Launceston via a country road. Checked out an old Anglican church and cemetery at Hagley, then onto Carrick to look at some old buildings. Lunch at a park on the river at Hadspen. Traveled back to Westbury via Perth (Tas).Weiterlesen

    Mac's farm $20/n. Left Westbury after filling water. Lots of hills and narrow suburban streets before we found Mac's Place. Setup and went for a drive, to Bunnings to get a flexible pale. Then to Tamar river cruises for a 50 minute cruise around river ending in a trip up Cataract Gorge. On returning to car drove to the top Gorge Carpark and did a walk down. Walked along the Kings bridge walkway. Then drive to old Duck Reach hydro power station. Long way down then back up.Weiterlesen

    Old Mac's farm. $20/n.
    Drive up and down the Tamar river. Called in at the Grindelwald Swiss resort for a coffee. A 400m walk to the Supply river mill ruins. Stopped at Beaconsfield for an IGA p I e for lunch. Checked out Batman bridge, then a drive through Bell bay and onto the mount George lookout. Tree carvings and lighthouse at George Town. Returned to Launceston via eastern road getting some fuel in Launceston.Weiterlesen

    Old Mac's farm. $20/n.
    Raining so decided to stay another night. Quite morning just stayed at camp. After lunch drove into the city trying to find the least hilly way out. Launceston is a very hilly city with lots of narrow streets acting as main arteries. Then on to the Queen Victoria museum. Stayed about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs. Lots to see. To Coles on the way back.Weiterlesen
