    There’s been a tavern at this location for five centuries and now we’re sitting here having a beer and a late night snack. After World War II, the building survived almost unscathed. A very nice host let us in late and let us order because frankly we were napping for the last five hours.

    Also in the street area, there were some shops that had traditional dress that you could buy, which I think is because of Oktoberfest, which just passed, but it’s hard to tell. Everywhere you go there are small bars that have a lot of nightlife right now and people dancing in little small dance floors with music that sort of sounds like what we would think of as 1980s sitcom bar dancing—it’s really festive and friendly and nice.
