Hiking along the coast

Opt to stay over to explore the town and surroundings. Beautiful stone throughout the old town. Hike along the coast and up into the hillside. Weather cooperates which is always appreciated.
Amongst cliffs

Meandering our way along the coastline. Many inlets mean very indirect paths. Camp along a beach and ride to cape frehul. Windy but beautiful views.
Avoiding thunderstorms

Threats of thunderstorms kept us moving relatively quickly. Come upon very large market. Skies go quickly from clear to cloudy. Make it to campground without getting too wet.

Grey day but nice riding. Rode mostly inland though crossed a number of inlets as the coastline is quite jagged.
Watching the tide come in

Took a true rest day and spent it walking on the beach and watching the tide come in. Huge tide because of full moon so at low tide was walking really far out. Picitures to follow.
Sunshine surprise

Very odd weather day. Varied between clear and sunny and very heavy fog. Another beach with huge tides. Walk a bit, sit a bit. Surrounded by Germans with very big dogs.
Exploring the coast

Set off on bikes to explore our surroundings. Walk out to an island that is only accessible around low tide. And finally after 9 weeks of travel, make it into the ocean.

Very foggy morning. Some lifting as we start to wind our way along the top. Big climb but gentle grade. Very eerie in the fog though it begins to lift as we rise above it. Cruise on down to the coast.もっと詳しく
