Day trip to Sintra

Went to Moorish Castle and the Pena Castle/ Gardens. Very cool and old architecture. We also explored the little town of Sintra and the shops.

Exploring Alfama and Bélem yesterday

We did the walking tour that our hostel offered. Went to a glee market, Portuguese lunch spot, Bélem tower and other monuments, and then we went to LX factory for dinner.

First day in Lagos!

We took a bus from Lisbon to Lagos. It is a beach town on the water. We walked 25 minutes to a beach in a small cove and then walked around on the coast line for the views.

Lagos beach and kayak day

Today we got to explore the caves of lagos by kayaking along the rocks. We stopped for lunch and then went to the beach for a few hours. We regrouped and then went to dinner and to see the sunset at the point.Read more

Touched down in Morocco

After being delayed and spending the whole day in the Lisbon airport… we finally made it to Marrakech, Morocco!! Fun fact- we took a bus, the metro, a city bus, and a plane all today! We made it for a quick dinner before going to bed.Read more

We left early this morning to start driving through the Atlas Mountains and to Ait Ben Haddou. Very cool and different sites to see here. We saw where the famous films were filmed here like The Gladiator and Game of Thrones.Read more

Desert day yesterday 🐪⛺️

Yesterday we got up early and started our trek towards the desert! On the way we got to stop to get hennas and dress in the traditional clothing of Moroccan women. We arrived to a pool looking out to the desert and got to swim for a bit. Then we took the quads and drove around the dunes which was amazing! We then went for a camel ride where we got to stop and sand board at one point. Then the camels to us to our camp where we danced and listened to traditional drum music.Read more

We woke up and went to lunch. Then we went to the La Sagrada Familia and walked around for a bit. We also went on a sunset catamaran tour which was very fun!

We woke up and went to this breakfast place that was recommended to us and the food was amazing! Then we walked around one of the parks, took some pictures and then went shopping in some of the boutiques. We went out to dinner at a Tapas place and then we met up with a friend from high school.Read more

My birthday!

Today we woke up and walked around to a food market that was pretty cool! And then we stopped at a place for paella which was amazing and sat next to the owner ha. We then got a taxi to Park Guell which is a famous park for ceramic tiles. Then we went back to the hostel to relax for a bit before going out to a fusion place for dinner! Then we walked to a nearby square where we got a few desserts to share. Great day :)Read more

Last day in Barcelona!

We walked around to montjuïc area yesterday and went to an old bull fight arena that’s now a mall. Then we went up to a castle by tram which was pretty cool. Then we went to the airport for our flight to Greece!Read more

First day in Greece!

Yesterday we went to a little place up the street for breakfast and I had amazing pancakes with cream cheese and jam in between! Then we walked 20 minutes to the town of Fira/Thira and went in some of the shops and got to see the amazing view. Then we went to the pool in our hostel for a bit and then made our way to Kamari beach which is a black sand beach. Then we just came back and chilled after a long day.Read more

Day in Oia!

Today we woke up and did the 8 mile hike from Fira to Oia which was long and hot but worth it! Then we went to Ammoudi bay where we had lunch and jumped off the platform. Then we looked around Oia for a bit and took the bus back to our hostel. Finally we came back into Fira for dinner and sunset which was amazing!Read more

Mykonos!

Today we got up and took the ferry from Santorini to Mykonos which took about 3 hours. Then we got to our hotel which is in the middle of the town! We walked around Mykonos for a bit and then took a bus to Kapari Beach which is a very local, chill spot. We stayed until sunset which was amazing and then took the bus back to the town for dinner.Read more

Mykonos to Athens

Today we woke up and did some last minute shopping and walking around the town of Mykonos and then we had to catch our ferry to Athens which took about 3 hours. Full day exploring Athens

Yesterday we woke up pretty early to meet Kate R at the Acropolis and she took us on a tour around there which was amazing! And then she took us around the other areas of athens to look in some small stores and walk the town. She also took us to the olympic stadium which was awesome. Then we went back to the hostel to chill for a little before meeting back up with her at a coffee shop to play some cards and talk. Then we walked to Lycabettus Hill where we had dinner and a view of the sunset. On the way home we stopped for some gelato :)Read more

Athens to Dubrovnik

Yesterday we woke up and had brunch with Kate R before heading to the airport to go to Croatia! The flight was pretty short and we got to Old Town where we are staying around 2/3pm. Checked in and then got to walk around and have an early dinner before taking a taxi up to a lookout for the sunset. It was an unbelievable sunset and then we hiked back down to town where we grabbed dinner with some people from the hostel.Read more

First full day in Dubrovnik

Today we woke up and got some food to take to the beach but on the way to this one beach we saw a spot that had flat rocks to lay on and a ladder into the water that wasn’t crowded at all so we decided to go down and stay there. We ended up hanging out there the whole day and Hannah Rothe and her friends came and met us there a little later which was fun! Then we went back to the hostel to chill for a bit before we went to this bar where everyone in our hostel was going to go cliff jumping. After that we went to hang out with Hannah and her friends for dinner and then headed in for an early night.Read more

Explored Old Town Dubrovnik

Today we woke up and met Hannah and her friends at a smoothie place for breakfast and then we ventured up to the walls surrounding Old Town because you can walk on top of them and get a good view point. After the walls we walked around the main area before going back to the hostel to change into bathing suits. We then caught the ferry to the nearby island of Lokrum where we explored and got to go to some private swim spots. There was even a “Dead Sea” of Lokrum. Then we went back to the hostel to change for dinner and pictures up on the wall. After we met up with Hannah and them to go to a bar for a bit but then we went back to the hostel.Read more
