On the way to Uluru we stayed at a free campsite in Mt Ebenezer, because it was cloudy on the first day we visited Kata Tjuta (The Olgas)
this is it .... what everyone visit's Uluru to see .... with the sun switching it on, we stayed around Uluru because the weather was overcast, spot the walkers.
We then headed over to 'Kings Canyon' in the Watarrka National Park, you can walk around the top which takes 3 hrs. A great place to visit.
Back on the 'Ghan' heading for Darwin , temp up in the 30c every day, view of darwin harbour near the art gallery/maritime museum
We managed to pick up a relocation van to Cairns for $1 a day !! have nine days to get there after adding three to make it worthwhile. Headed into Kakadu Park for a couple of nights to see the crocs.Read more
... went from Darwin to Jabiru, to Pine Creek to Tennant Creek to Mt Isa up to Normanton across to Ravenshoe then up to Cairns. This is a picture of Nourlangie Rock in Kakadu
this is the state of the roads in places .. down to one lane with dirt either side, driving can be hazardous ... these cows run free , and check out those termites !
