when we missed ahead last time, this is the town we biased to. So, we've arrived at some sections we've already hiked.

This town is also the halfway point on the Camino Frances. We were able to get a certificate commemorating completing half.Read more

We had planned to take a slow day with rests on each town to mark our friends Warren's last day of hiking. Instead, because every place was closed when we arrived, we hiked most of the day before finding a place to eat. (no worries; we had provisions).

Then, as we were about to leave the city, we were asked to be filmed for a commercial for a local cheese! I haven't looked up Quesos San Juan in Palencia yet, but i think it is a real thing. i will let you know if we ever become famous actors in Spain.Read more

The alubias blancas are one of our favorite meals we remember from our last time on the camino. An unassuming bar-restaurant here in Frómista prepared the most amazing plate of alubias blancas. You wouldn't think we'd want a giant bowl of hot beans after today's 25k hike in the hot sun, but it was perfect.

There is a well-restored church from 1066 here. The presentation does a particularly good job of explaining the restoration and exactly how they knew what it should look like.

I'm super grateful to be feeling good! I'm only a little sore, no injuries. I'm stretching every evening.Read more

A beautiful town on a hill, which i am very happy to be able to climb. The albergue where we're sleeping offers amazing food. The municipal pool offers a free beer to those who present their pilgrim credential.Read more
