    Today, we stepped into Shakespeare’s world, touring the Globe Theatre and discovering the origins of words like rehearsal, box office, and role. We walked where the original Globe once stood, then visited the church he attended—Southwark Cathedral—where we had the surreal experience of sitting in a choir pew that has stood since 1066. From these ancient pews, we couldn’t help but imagine the countless voices that have filled this space.

    And then, quite literally, we rose from pews to views: first atop One New Change and later at dinner in the Sky Garden. Suspended higher than the Space Needle, the panorama of London was spectacular—a modern stage set beneath a dreamy skyline. As Shakespeare said, “All the world’s a stage,” and today, we saw this corner of the world from every angle.
