Ribbons, Canals & Candy Stripes

From Porto to Aveiro, today was a ribbon of stories, sweets, and sea air. After lunch, our excellent guides led us on a walking and boat tour—stories flowing as smoothly as the painted boats. We tied ribbons, tasted the city’s beloved Ovos Moles, and even stepped into a cemetery where glass-fronted tombs offered a striking glimpse into Aveiro’s traditions.

By late afternoon, we made our way to Costa Nova. Rows of striped houses stood like storybook illustrations, cheerful and bright against the sea breeze.
