The Stillness of Switzerland

We spent the past week tucked into a cozy chalet in Grindelwald, Switzerland. A storm front rolled in, so it rained far more than usual but honestly, it was the perfect excuse to slow down. We rested, made home-cooked meals, indulged in cheese fondue and way too much Swiss chocolate, watched Survivor, and binged both seasons of The House of David (so good!).

And the view wasn’t so bad either. Whenever the rain let up, we squeezed in a few hikes, took a gondola up to Mürren, and explored the St. Beatus Caves perched above Lake Thun, which felt like stepping into Narnia. The mountains here are impossibly massive, the grass a glowing green, and the cows… well, their bells are basically the soundtrack of Grindelwald.Read more
