    Córdoba

    Córdoba hatte ich definitiv nicht auf dem Schirm. Leider hatte ich nur eine Nacht hier. Nachmittags bin ich djrch die süßen kleinen Gässchen geschlendert und habe mir die Moschee, die gleichzeitig auch insich eine Cathedrale hat angeschaut. Es hat echt Spaß gemacht und ich war mit Leuten aus dem Hostel abends auf den Straßen und überall haben wir Menschen getroffen, die Carneval gefeiert haben.

    Córdoba was definitely not on my radar. Unfortunately I only had one night here. In the afternoon I strolled through the cute little streets and looked at the mosque, which also has a cathedral in itself. It was really fun and I was out on the streets with people from the hostel in the evening and we met people everywhere who were celebrating Carneval.    Read more

    Malaga

    Wow alleine Reisen macht echt Spaß, aber nach einer Woche, in der ich viel gesehen habe und viele tolle Menschen kennengelernt habe, brauchte ich eine Pause. In Malaga habe ich ein paar Tage mehr verbracht und auch mal die Zeit alleine genossen. Ich habe einen Tagesausflug nach Ronda und zum Caminito del Rey gemacht und kam mal ein bisschen in die Natur und raus aus der Stadt. Das war sehr schön. Aber natürlich durfte ein gutes Tapas Essen im Hostel nicht fehlen!!!

    Wow, traveling alone is really fun, but after a week in which I saw a lot and met a lot of great people, I needed a break. I spent a few more days in Malaga and also enjoyed the time alone. I took a day trip to Ronda and the Caminito del Rey and got into nature for a bit and got out of the city. That was really nice. But of course a good tapas meal in the hostel couldn't be missed!!!     Nach den letzten Stadttouren wollte ich gerne nochmal ans Wasser. Ich sah einen super schönen Sonnenuntergang, habe auf der gemütlichen Dachterrasse des Hostels Zeit verbracht und den Carnevalsumzügen zugeschaut. Auch war ich das erste mal alleine, alleine in einem Restaurant was essen. Das hat sich schon komisch angefühlt...

    Sevilla

    Dieses Wochenende traf ich ein paar Freunde aus Barcelona in Sevilla.
    Wir waren lecker Frühstück, haben bei einem Stadtrundgang Teil genommen, der Musik bei einem Festival gelauscht, waren feiern und haben vor allem das gute Wetter unterwandert beim Picknick am Fluss genossen. Es war richtig schön bekannte Gesichter wieder zu sehen!
    Sevilla ist mein letzter stopp bevor es weiter Richtung Marokko geht. Es ist eine super Erfahrung mal alleine zu reisen und in Spanien kommt man super mit dem Bus, Zug oder Blablacar von A nach B.

    This weekend I met some friends from Barcelona in Seville.
    We had a delicious breakfast, took part in a city tour, listened to the music at a festival, partied and, above all, enjoyed the good weather with a picnic by the river. It was really nice to see familiar faces again!
    Seville is my last stop before continuing towards Morocco. It's a great experience to travel alone and in Spain you can easily get from A to B by bus, train or Blablacar.    Read more

    Chefchaouen

    February 20 in Morocco ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C

    Von Sevilla ging meine Reise weiter mit Blablacar nach Algeciras um von dort mit der Fähre nach Marokko zu fahren und dann mit dem Bus von Tanger weiter nach Chefchaouen. Chefchaouen, auch "die blaue Stadt im Norden" genannt, ist wirklich süß und blau. Ich ließ mich durch die kleinen Gassen treiben und wanderte hoch zur Spanischen Kirche, um einen tollen Ausblick über die Stadt zu genießen. Marokko ist schon etwas anders als Spanien um es alleine zu bereisen, aber die Einheimischen sind sehr gastfreundlich und ich kam in einem tollen Riad unter inklusive Frühstück. Man muss nur wissen, dass man mit jedem um einen Preis verhandeln muss, sei es mit dem Taxifahrer oder einem Händler der Obst verkauft. Die Fahrt nach Chefchaouen durchs Rid-Gebirge war schön und alles ist super grün.

    From Seville my journey continued with Blablacar to Algeciras to take the ferry to Morocco and then take the bus from Tangier to Chefchaouen. Chefchaouen, also called "the blue city in the north", is really cute and blue. I drifted through the small streets and hiked up to the Spanish Church to enjoy a great view of the city. Morocco is a bit different than Spain to travel alone, but the locals are very hospitable and I stayed in a great riad including breakfast. Just know that you have to negotiate a price with everyone, be it a taxi driver or a fruit seller. The drive to Chefchaouen through the Rid mountains was beautiful and everything is super green.     Mit Amelie und Marchel hatte ich einen tollen Tag in der Natur und an den Wasserfällen von Akchur.
    Zuerst sind wir hoch in die Berge bis zur goldenen Brücke gewandert um später unten am Fluss Tajine zu essen und ein Bad zu nehmen.

    Tanger

    February 22 in Morocco ⋅ 🌬 19 °C

    In Chefchaouen habe ich ein ganz nettes Pärchen getroffen mit denen ich mich länger unterhalten habe und die mir geholfen haben die beste Verbindung nach Marrakesch rauszusuchen. Wir kamen zu dem Schluss, dass es am schlausten sei zurück nach Tanger zu fahren und von dort den Schnellzug über Rabat und Casablanca nach Marrakesch zu nehmen. Zum Schluss bot mir das Mädchen an, dass ich bei ihr und ihrer Familie eine Nacht in Tanger schlafen könnte, wenn ich mag. Ich hatte lange überlegt... aber habe das Angebot angenommen und dies war so eine gute Entscheidung... die Familie nam mich super lieb auf und wir haben abends alle zusammen traditionell marokkanisch gegessen und am nächsten Tag noch zusammen gefrühstückt. Ich bin ihnen so dankbar.

    In Chefchaouen I met a really nice couple who I talked to for a while and who helped me find the best connection to Marrakech. We came to the conclusion that the smartest thing to do was to go back to Tangier and from there take the express train via Rabat and Casablanca to Marrakech. Finally, the girl offered me that I could sleep with her and her family in Tangier for one night if I wanted. I thought about it for a long time... but I accepted the offer and it was such a great decision... the family was very welcoming to me and we all had a traditional Moroccan meal together in the evening and had breakfast together the next day.     Marrakesch

    Abends bin ich gut in Marrakesch angekommen und habe mich über unser Riad in der Medina gefreut. Jule und Luca sind in Marrakesch zu mir dazu gestoßen und wir reisen nun eine Woche zusammen. Ich habe mich sehr auf die beiden gefreut.
    In der Medina ist abends hektisches und chaotisches Treiben. Man muss aufpassen, dass man nicht von einem Taxi, den Tausenden von Scootern oder Eselkutschen überfahren wird.

    I arrived safely in Marrakech in the evening and was happy about our riad in the medina. Jule and Luca joined me in Marrakech and we are now traveling together for a week. I was really looking forward to both of them. The medina is hectic and chaotic in the evenings. You have to be careful not to get hit by a taxi, the thousands of scooters or donkey carriages.     Erg Chebbi - Wüste - desert

    Besser spät als nie, aber ich wollte diese Reise nun noch zu Ende schreiben und euch von den restlichen tollen Wochen berichten. Es ging mit einer kleinen Gruppe Richtung Merzouga. Über Aït-Ben-Haddou, die Filmstadt und Tingir, wo wir übernachtet haben bis in die Todra Schlucht und immer durch das Atlasgebirge. Auch wenn es eine lange Fahrt war, hat sich jede Minute gelohnt bis wir die Sanddünen nach einem endloses nichts erreichten. Es war gigantisch. Man konnte stundenlang aus dem Fenster schauen und wurde nicht müde, die Landschaft hat sich immer und immer wieder verändert. Es war eine toll Zeit mit einer coolen Gruppe. Ich komme bestimmt wieder!

    Better late than never, but I wanted to finish writing about this trip and tell you about the rest of the great weeks. We went with a small group towards Merzouga. Via Aït-Ben-Haddou, the film city and Tingir, where we spent the night, to the Todra Gorge and always through the Atlas Mountains. Even though it was a long drive, every minute was worth it until we reached the sand dunes after an endless nothingness. It was gigantic. You could look out of the window for hours and not get tired, the landscape changed over and over again. It was a great time with a cool group. I'll definitely be back!    Read more

    Marrakesch

    Zwischen Fußgängern, Scootern, Eselkutschen und Autos banten wir unseren Weg durch das Gewusel von Marrakesch und erkundeten die Märkte auf denen Gewürze, Obst und Gemüse neben den Kleider-, Schuh- und Fleischständen angeboten wurde. Zusammen mit Jule und Luca besuchte ich den wunderschönen Bahia-Palast und den jüdischen Friedhof. Unserer Riad lag mitten in der Medina. Es war dennoch sehr angenehm ruhig und entspannt.

    We made our way through the hustle and bustle of Marrakech between pedestrians, scooters, donkey carriages and cars and explored the markets where spices, fruit and vegetables were sold next to clothing, shoe and meat stalls. Together with Jule and Luca I visited the beautiful Bahia Palace and the Jewish cemetery. Our riad was in the middle of the medina. It was nevertheless very pleasantly quiet and relaxed.
