Driving to Austria

After the Zeppelin Museum, we drove to our next destination: Austria!
The scenery is very different from where we were in Germany.
Beautiful snow-covered mountains greeted us within 15 minutes of crossing the border. (Well...we could tell they were beautiful even in the rain)
Another Austrian idiosyncrasy: 5- 15 km long tunnels under the mountains. Often, these tunnels had less than 5 km between them. It makes for some pretty intense driving. Brian is so good at learning the car and the rules of the road quickly. I am always so impressed with his driving on these international trips.Read more
