Innsbruck

We took the bus from Hall in Tirol to Innsbruck. (The name means Inn River).
We watched a lot of travel videos about this city, so our expectations were high. It did not disappoint.
We began by viewing the triumph arch that was built to commemorate the wedding of Austrian King Leopold and his Italian bride in 1765. When a bus drives through this arch, there are only inches to spare on each side! Scary!
Then we walked down the famous Maria Theresa Street and enjoyed all the beautiful architecture.
The highlight of this street comes at the end when you get to see the golden roof. It was made in 1497 to honor the Emperor 's wedding. The roof is gold plating over copper. So beautiful.Lue lisää
