One night stopover on my way to meet up with the ol' ball and chain! Joking, can't wait to see her! Applied for my visa extension which was actually relatively painless and my hostel owner really helped me out I'm a lot (recommend the Wisma Tsacita to anyone staying in BA) so a productive day 👍 the city itself seems in an evolution stage which has aspects of a "modern" city but also retains some of what I'd expected to see (like in Medan) although I didn't see lots of the city as it was pouring with rain and most of what I saw was from sidecar of a motorbike. The contrast of buildings is likely due to the massive rebuilding that took place after the tsunami, as awful as that kind of destruction is, it gives a humans a platform on which to build again, which doesn't have to be the same as what came before...En savoir plus
