Top Withins aka Wuthering Heights

Today was an excellent day for walking sunny and not too windy until I got up to Top Withins. Unlike yesterday the trail was full of people. The signs are even in Japanese as they have a lot of Japanese followers coming to visit the Bronte house, museum, and Wuthering Heights. The Japanese are fanatical and are very knowledgeable, Un like some American women I overheard in the Brontë store trying to decide who wrote what book ( it was written on the book covers … doh) and then admitted to each other they hadn’t read any of their books. 😱
An awesome walk with stunning views of the moors and valleys. I sat quietly for a while at Top Withins and tried to imagine what it was like in the Brontes times. I passed a landslide on the way down and apparently the Brontë sisters were out there in bad weather when the landslide occurred.Meer informatie
