    Day 12 Traveling home

    June 22, 2021 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 68 °F

    •Long hard day of travel
•Since we got to the airport ridiculously early, we had plenty of time to kill
•There was an US embassy warning about protests through out the country. We noticed a visible presence of police in and around the airport - glad we were there early.
•After killing an hour with Glenn at the food court, we said our goodbyes and went through security.
•Surprisingly, the airplane playground was opened
•I purchased hamburgers and French fries and we ate near the airplane. The kids loved it.
•The 2pm flight was furthered delayed and I believe that we took off to DFW around 2:45
•We had 3 seats to ourselves. Elizabeth again shouted for joy
•We had a tight connection in Dallas.
•So glad I gate checked our bags all the way from GUA to Peoria!
•We ran through customs, from Terminal D to Terminal B
•Elizabeth slept the last hour on my lap. She was one tired cookie. Even crying as we walked through the terminal
•The entire Rosenberger family including Shadow picked us up at the Peoria airport
•We arrived in Fisher, Illinois at 12:30. I’m tired.
•I’m one happy Grammie to have both David and Elizabeth to spend time with us. Although David was sick most of the time we built in great one-on-one time together. Elizabeth got a Barbie doll, built a doll house with Grand Dad and David got some hot wheels and built a ramp. This is one time I will never forget!
