Hello everybody,

Finally! We are on the way to Hannoversch Münden, where our trip will begin tomorrow morning. Last time we use the good old German Autobahn and GPS. We are excited!

Task of the day- BARON MÜNCHHAUSEN

Bodenwerder is the birthplace and long-time residence of the "lie baron" Hieronymus Carl Friedrich Freiherr von Münchhausen and therefore bears the official name addition "Münchhausenstadt" since 2013. There we had to find his face in order to kneel and pay homage to him. We all did it! The organizer of the rally can train monkeys so fast!Baca lagi

Trade-Off Challenge

Our Roadbook contained a golden paper-clip which was the basis of this longterm challenge mission. In every state we pass we are requested to exchange whatever we got against something at least 100 grams heavier, in a given color.

Stage 1: lower saxony - green - result : apple
Stage 2: Hamburg - red- ESSO cup
Stage 3: Schleswig-Holstein: black- result: horseshoe

Home sweet home

First stop Hamburg, haha! 😜

Still, this first day was expectedly awesome. Our nameless car (suggestions welcome) did well, so did we. We passed figgelinsche Pässe with beautiful view on Weserbergland. Ended up at Landungsbrücken, somehow dull but most important is nice time with other teams! Not to mention Lena and Johannes visited us , whoop whoop!

No pictures taken, expect polaroid for our roadbook.

SCHAALSEE LOVERS - TEAM 114

We are right now in Zarrentin, at Stefan's house, from team 114. Soon we will hit the road towards Free Hanseatic cities such as Wismar, Rostock. This is where we will accomplish today's task of the day. Missed Lübeck but who cares, it's our neighbor city, been there done that.

Task of the day - Nandu

Find a Nandu - we did it! Nandus are large ratites that are actually at home in South America - there are now about 500 in Northwest Mecklenburg, in the Schaalsee region. Nandus obviously feel well, the climate suits them, there is enough to eat and no natural enemies - so they have reproduced splendidly. Unbelievable but true.

PengembaraHi Team Femimista, schön zu sehen, dass der Bus gut läuft und es euch gut geht (Naja, nach einer warmen Dusche in HH ;-) hihi). Das der Bus (die Bus geht nicht !) noch keinen Namen hat, geht überhaupt nicht :-) . Meine Tochter und ihre Freundin schlagen Valluk (Betonung auf der 2. Silbe) vor (?????), da kann ich mich NICHT anschließen. Ich würde ihn "Tweety" (der beste Freund von Snoopy - mal genial, mal chaotisch, immer liebenswürdig) oder in Anspielung auf die zu erwartende Farbe "Kermit" nennen. Euch weiterhin viel Spaß und gute Fahrt. Wir bleiben dran. LG Hannes

PengembaraMoin, moin, in der Gegend fehlt euch nur noch ein Kanu auf dem Dach. Der Bus kennt das. Macht dort echt Spaß. Erinnerungen, Erinnerungen. Gute Reise weiterhin !

Tag 3: Havelland, Berlin, Spreewald area

Today roadbook requested us to find Müritzsee, which was the location for the task of the day. We had to canoe blindly and guided by a second team respectively. Afterwards we had to give proof of our memory skills.

Exchange challenge:

Mecklenburg-Vorpommern we traded our horseshoe against a set of blue lunch box and alu bottle

Brandenburg : yellow glass of finest virgin wild flower honey from Rheinsberg apiary- nice fetch !

Even better: red pumpkin in Berlin- Halloween is coming!

Still 7 trades left- did we mention the trade object must always gain at least 100 grams ? 🙈

Veronika almost found a Fritz aged 80 or older- one of 10 tasks under the category "missions on the road".

Now heading for a lost place near Berlin: Wünsdorf, the "forbidden city" once had thousands of inhabitants, today only the wind whistles through the walls. The former military site near Berlin is now one of the most famous lost places in Germany. After the Soviet troops left in 1994, the buildings of the former military site were left to nature. A paradise, we hope.

Currently slightly lost in the suburbs of Berlin, but back on track... Keep you posted !Baca lagi

4th stage: Vogtland, Oberfranken

We passed Elbe river in Meißen, scratched Erzgebirge, then straight to Vogtland where we found the action point for the task of the day. A former NVA military casern, German-German history, today playground for adults.

From Vogtland we drove to Oberfranken in Northern Bavaria, found a camping site with hot shower.Baca lagi

5th stage: Oberfranken - Oberbayern

Day 5 started with road mission 1: drive up Schneeberg 1051 m above sea level at Fichtelgebirge. We only made to the parking lot, fair enough. Gotta keep rolling to keep up pace.

Right now we are working on road mission 2: From Rötz via Cham, Chamerau, Bad Kötzting towards Viechtach. Nice voyage !

Task of the day: since we are located in Bavaria all day long, we have to fulfil German cliché i.e. Bavarian stereotype. Dress up in Lederhosen, a Mass beer, eine Brez'n whatever the case may be. No pictures to follow!Baca lagi

End of our journey
