Baltic Greenlaning 2021

After a couple of days of arriving, resting, doing laundry and evaluating our experiences, emotions and opinions we have reached a couple of conclusions and decisions:

1. Never again will we go on a "Baltic-Late-Summer-Trip" with a camper without properly working additional heater. Never...and if we do that again, we'll be taking lakeside cabins right from the start.

Incredible were the locations of the huts and houses, unbelievable were the friendliness and cooperation of the Landladies and Landlords - we love to do it all again.

2. I'll never go on a "Baltic-Late-Summer-Trip" without taking Long Johns and "Pudelmütze", and next time I'll spend more thoughts about which shoes to take.

3. The "Buddha" has a good chance of growing old with us and will be converted into a functional, rugged and comfortable camper. Although it will be a lot of work and will take some time and money - the "off road" capabilities, the enormous flexibility and maneuverability have convinced us. And since we're growing older the high noise level during driving will bother us less and less...

But those silly and useless 4 macho headlights will have to be traded for sth. worth the show!

4. Three weeks just aren't enough time for these wonderful wild countries and three weeks just aren't enough time to build satisfactory relationships with the people that have become friends.

5. They have damn good alkohol free (and a good selection of sugar free) beers available in the supermarkets in the Baltic States - and they do it right: Alcohol free beer is less (!) expensive than regular beer. 👍
