Calls from Jacob

4/29/25 - Jacob was sworn in today and flew out to San Antonio. At 6:48pm he called with what must have been a script that was all he was allowed to say: "I'm alive. I've made it to San Antonio. My next call will be in 3 days." He hung up before I was finished saying "I love you!"

5/1/25 - Jacob called at 4:32 pm. He said he had 5 minutes and he wanted to split it between me and Cassie. He said it's Hell! Hot, not much sleep, going non-stop! We spoke for about 90 seconds and I told him he should call Cassie. He didn't sound like he was ready to hang up . Cassie texted to say that he says it's rough. Hates being bald. The heat!! I'm texting Cassie pics of Jacob every day starting from baby. She has sent me some baby pics of her, too. Finals are in 2 weeks and she is working on her final projects and assignments.
