    A word on the environmet

    7 décembre 2016, Argentine ⋅ ⛅ 29 °C

So I visited a subtropical rainforest. Big old trees, loads of animals. 50 types of snakes (10 of them are dangerous...), monkeys, coatis, about a 100 different types of trees, I don't know how many different birds, not talking about all the butterflies and critters and insects around (and mosquitoes. Well...)

That is the one side of the story. The other side is: its the last patch of that forest here. In Brazil everything is cut down to produce soy beans. In Argentina everything is replaced by pine trees to produce wood.

And of course the powerplant: imagine the area that is occupied by the dam and the lake.

There are only 12 to 15 jaguars left in the park. And not only that there are loosing the forest, they are also run over by cars, like hundreds of other bigger animals each year.

Flying over it shows pretty good what has happened to the forest...
