Port Louis

Today we caught the bus to Port Louis - the capital of Mauritius. We went to a few tourist attractions including the National History Museum, Company Gardens, Citadelle (Fort), St Louis Cathedral, China Town, Central Market & Cadau Waterfront. We spent over an hour in the museum reading my about the history of Mauritus and learning about the extinct dodo birds 🦤 . We then went on a decent hike up a big hill to the Fort, which had an amazing view of Port Louis from the top.

The market especially reminded me a bit of Kathmandu, just less populated. Lots of gross smells and tight spaces. I tried some street food, dholl puri which Jacques has been raving about, it’s like pita bread made from chickpeas served with salsa, quite yum! The best was the fromage naan bread.Okumaya devam et
