Port Louis

Today we went into Port Louis
📍 Appravasi Ghat which is a World Heritage Listed site @ the port which used to be the Immigration Depot for the indentured labourers to enter Mauritius. Learnt some cool history 📖
📍 Brian’s house to meet his parents and collect some cooking supplies. Brian’s dad is baker and has owned his own pastry shop since 1980. He gave me some tips on how to make the best croissants 🥐 hehe
📍 Port Louis Market to buy ingredients for our dinner 🌿 we also did a tour of the meat section… I’ve never seen anything like it and I could almost go vegetarian thinking about it 🤣
📍 Back home for a cooking lesson with Brian. We made fried calamari, Rougaille and rice 🍚Leggi altro
