Today was an early start: we left at 5.30 a.m in the dark, with the aim to see the Tatio geysers. On the way there we were fascinated by the morning mood, the landscape slowly illuminated by the warming sun. Shortly before Machuca we saw numerous flamingoes in the water in front of us, so close one could almost touch them. We first enjoyed the view alone, the quiet and breathtaking morning atmosphere before other cars arrived. After that we drove in a good mood to the Tatio geyseres.
