Sacramento Part 2

We drove all day and landed in downtown Sacramento. We were here 2 yrs ago for the 1st time and saw Duran Duran at the last minute. Tonight, we are staying at a hostel, in a community room with 5 bunk beds (10 beds).
Of course we could have stayed in a hotel in a private room 🏨 but what fun is that. I feel like I'm in a cottage on the grounds of downtown abbey. It's an old Victorian house built in 1885. It's 140 yrs old. The history here is amazing😲 It started as a private home for a family of 3, then it turned into a mortuary, then a men's private club, then a restaurant, and now a hostal. Its beautiful and it's huge. There are people staying here from many places out of the country. We walked a few blocks to the bars and restaurants for a lite bite and a tasty cocktail.Read more
