    The Vasa museum is a maritime museum in Stockholm. The museum displays the only almost fully intact 17th century ship that has ever been salvaged. The 64 gun warship Vasa, sank on her maiden voyage in 1628 shortly after her launch. For the next 300 years she lay undisturbed in the Baltic sea, which is known to preserve wood due to the absence of wood worm in this sea. She was located and finally raised in the 1950's. She eventually found her new home in her own museum, The Vasa Museum, where you are able to see the glorious colours she was once painted.Read more
