    The Isaac Ben Walid Synagogue is a synagogue in the mellah of Tetuan, Morocco. The synagogue is named after Rabbi Isaac Bengualid, author of the 2-volume Vayomer Yitzhak, a history of the Jews of Tetuan.

    Synagogue continues tradition. ... Challah, an egg-based bread made without butter or milk, is usually served on Saturdays — Shabbat, the Jewish day of rest — to represent the double-portion of manna that fell from Heaven and fed the Israelites after their exodus from Egypt.
