Swansea Mountain Bike Park

We dropped Matt off at the top after our hike to scout out the intermediate trails. They were amazing. On Friday Matt and the boys got a ride to the top and set out on the South Summit trail. Starting with a bit of a climb, there were a few spots we had to walk. We got a couple nice pics at the top and began the ride down.

Most of the trail was smooth and flowy with a few steep, fun switch backs. There was also a few loose rocky sections that required good brakes. William shredded the trail and Weston did a great job controlling his speed.

On the lower section of hula girl there was a wooden drop that William rode over slowly and clunked on. I explained to Weston that if he wanted to ride over it he should have a bit of speed to clear the drop and then I demonstrated. Weston interpreted this as crank it hard and hit it so hard he cleared the whole landing, lost control on the loose chunky rocks then shot straight into the woods, dodging trees until he finally flew over the bars and crashed face first. Luckily the landing a was bit mossy and he missed the big trees.

We finished the ride by biking home along the road, with a brief stop at the gas station for a couple slushies and chocolate milk.Läs mer
