• Pacific Coast! Dunes, drives and surf 🌊

    Sep 28–Oct 3, 2024 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 18 °C

We camped for 5 nights on the infamous PCH. Pacific Dunes was the newly exclaimed favourite campground for the kids. Even though we were on the coast it was hard to see the water, the view was mounds and mounds of sand dunes. The campground lended sleds that you could bring out into the dunes for some sandy fun! The kids had a blast running, flipping and sledding down the sand. The campground also has a clubhouse equipped with a gaming table, William spent a lot of time there.
We explored a bit of the PCH driving about half way up. We checked out the Elephant Seals on the beach and ended our journey at Sand Dollar Beach, which didn't have any sand dollars but did have beautiful cliffs and stunning views.
We made the most of the beach towns and spent one day at Avila Beach. Willow in true Willow fashion made lots of friends and the boys spent most of the day playing football with a new friend on the beach. We capped off the day with a nice Mexican meal at Juan's cantina! Willow tried her first deep fried ice cream.
Our last day on the coast we went to Pismo Beach. The boys rented some boards and hit the waves with the local surfers. They did awesome and even managed to stand up more than a few times! The beach was active with whales, Mama enjoyed watching their tales in the distance. That night we hit the pier and got some ice cream.
