Anatomy theory test 2!

I put a lot of effort into revising for today's test. I made an educated guess about what would be included and put most effort into that. I got some of the questions I was expecting! Suffice to say I'm glad I did run my eye over other notes too! A couple were educated guesses, but I think I have done well. While Nicola was wandering around whispering to people and dropping subtle hints , she nodded when looking at my paper!Read more

This is the face of someone who has definitely passed Human Anatomy 100! Rani was not allowed to tell me my mark, but gave me a hug and said I did very well. Onwards and upwards! Big thanks to my boy Joe, who tolerated having post-it notes stuck all over him and listened to all my woes and garbled practices for the VIVA.Read more

Public transport adventures!

It's lovely having trains running again, but when there's a power outage...
After waiting 45 minutes at Mawson Lakes, got on to a train that terminated at Salisbury. Then onto another train, before final bus home. So at least 2 hours after leaving Uni, I'll make it home.

I guess it *could* have been worse...I got off at Elizabeth to catch the bus the rest of the way home. The train was meant to be stopping all stations, but all the passengers were asked to get off again and wait for the next train...Read more

After polishing off my final Quiz for Motor Development & Ageing, and my practical Movement Assessment for Functional Anatomy, I'm going home tired but happy! This time next week (or maybe in one week and 30 minutes) I will have finished the semester, with only 1 exam left to go.Read more

Coconut Crew - we're #2!

We finished up the study period for Group & Team Psychology with a lacrosse festival.
At the end of the minor round, the 🥥 Coconut Crew placed fourth.

Our first finals game was against the Colonel's Buckets, who were in 1st place, undefeated in the minor round. We assumed that their winning streak would remain unbroken.
We were 1:0 down, but in a stunning plot twist, we won the game 3:1, putting us into the Grand Final against the Mighty Sharks.

The GF game went into overtime, as we were drawn 0:0 at full time, in a high intensity match.
The Sharks did get one goal past our keeper in overtime, giving them the win.

The Coconut Crew won 'the best dressed team' however, and I won 'best encourager' for the festival.

We went off to Nando's afterwards, along with some of the Colonel's Buckets 🐥 and Lethal 🐞 Ladybugs.Read more

Back on track!

Today I received an offer for the Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology (Honours). So now I have to sort out RPL for last year's efforts, hopefully I'll get credit for all eight subjects, but seven of them are the same, so that's first year sorted, and I'm already enrolled in my second year subjects!Read more

Orientation CEP

A hot, hot day today, but went in for Orientation.
Had an info session about the programme, and then went to find the free stuff - bag, planner, diary, pen, pencil, notepad, lollipops etc.
Tried bubble tea for the first time (peach tea with passionfruit pops), had a caricature and face painting. Also have a $10 voucher to use on campus.
Met several of the staff I'll have for my subjects and a couple of fellow mature-aged students, Kylie & Nazli.
On the train home now, without roasting or getting sunburn,so a successful day.Read more

I might not put myself ahead by 5 years during this busy semester, but taking 5 subjects instead of 4 allows me to devote one third year elective to Anatomy!Read more

First Uni absence

Today is the first day I've missed Uni (for this degree).
I've got a bacterial infection, which is rampaging through my respiratory system, sinuses and ears.
