Extraordinary sunset

We’re ending up with an unplanned week in La Paz while making boat repairs. Yesterday was a breakthrough on one of our biggest concerns which was an overheating engine. The mechanics came out to our anchored boat in Eric’s dinghy. The salt water intake hose was full of cruddy deposits that definitely restricted the flow.. The next in line, heat exchanger had seashells and other things in it. All is being replaced and cleaned.

A bright spot has been in the Hotel Pasada Luna Sol. It’s only a couple blocks from the marina dinghy dock, so it’s been very handy for us. I’ll call it a boutique, Mexican hotel.. Someone with really good taste put this together. There are many beautiful colors, tiles, plants and artwork throughout. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and most of them speak some English.

My favorite place is the third floor veranda with a Palapa and a well-placed hammock. Two nights ago was the most extraordinary sunset of the trip.

Hopefully we’ll be on our way to the pristine islands near LaPaz within a couple days.Læs mere
