Christmas eve at Lijiang blue lakes

A good night's sleep had David feeling better. After a leisurely bivou breakfast Madeleine's friend James who used to teach with her in Shenzhen and now lives in Lijiang came to fetch us in his car and took us to the nearby Blue Lake Nature Park where we walked around the series of lakes enjoying spectacular snow capped mountain scenery and other delights. On the return drive James dropped us for a walk about in the adjacent village of Baisha where we had some good coffee and fresh fruit sticks. Back in Lijiang late afternoon, Ann bought two outfits that she'd seen at a shop the previous evening before we all enjoyed a Chinese cuisine supper - quite different from what we get at home.Læs mere
