Magome-juku ➡️ Nojiri-juku

🇺🇸 The day started a bit later due to cool temperatures and cloudy weather. The famous Magome-Tsumago Trail was today‘s main plan and it was really beautiful. I also met the kind man from yesterday‘s Takoyaki-Party in a teahouse again. After arriving ing Tsumago I decided to continue until Nagiso to find a spot to eat: Beef Curry with Rice. Because it was only 1:30pm I thought hiking to the next post town, Nojiri, should be doable and Google Maps said it would only take 2ish hours. So off I go and after 2 hours I wonder where I am. Apparently I followed the wrong Nakasendo trail - A roundabout they used back in the day when the valley was flooded. So mountainous and twice the length. After suffering through a other 13k I at least found a nice Onsen close by and relaxed my feet there. I also ate a massive portion of Gyoza and Karaage in a local Izakaya to catch up on the calories.

🇩🇪 Wegen bewölkter und relativ kühler (28 Grad) Wettervorhersage ging der Tag heute erst gegen 8:45 los. Heute war vor allem der bekannte Magome-Tsumago Trail auf dem Plan. Hier bin ich zum ersten Mal, set Kyoto, wieder mehreren Touristen über den Weg gelaufen. Auf halbem Wege zu Tsumago habe ich auch den netten Herren von gestriger Takoyaki-Party in einem Teehaus getroffen. Nach Tsumago bin ich weiter nach Nagiso gelaufen, um etwas zu essen: Rindercurry mit Reis. Da es erst 13:30 war habe ich mich entschlossen noch zur nächsten Poststadt (Nojiri) zu laufen. Google Maps sagte 8km in etwa 2 Stunden aber ich bin wohl den falschen Schildern gefolgt und einen Umweg gelaufen (der früher genutzt wurde wenn das Tal geflutet war). Also hoch-runter-hoch-runter und vor allem die doppelte Strecke. Nach 13km bis Nagiso nochmal 13km und einigen Höhenmetern zu laufen war die Qual. Ich habe in der Nähe von Nojiri zum Glück ein Onsen gefunden und später in der Stadt mich in einem netten Izakaya vollgestopft.Read more
