Suwa ➡️ Wada-juku

🇺🇸 No rain today so crossing the Wada Pass was safe. While I knew this was going to be the hardest part of the Nakasendo, I didn‘t expect it to be this hard. The first ~15km were just constant uphill hiking with the last 5 being extra steep. At least the view from the top was great and there was a small teahouse nearby to take a break in. The rest of the day was downhill all the way to an Onsen that also allowed me to setup my Tent in the Park next to their Parking lot.

🇩🇪 Kein Regen also ist es sicher gewesen den Wada Pass zu überqueren. Zwar wusste ich, dass es der schwerste Part des Nakasendo sein wird, aber ich habe es definitiv etwas unterschätzt. Die ersten ~15km waren konstant bergauf, wobei die letzten 5km nochmal extra steil waren. Zum Glück war die Aussicht grandios und es gab ein Teehaus in der Nähe, in dem ich mich ausruhen und was essen konnte. Der Rest des Tages war bergab bis zu einem Onsen. Sie haben mir auch erlaubt im Park neben ihrem Parkplatz zu zelten, also musste ich nichtmehr nach einem Schlafplatz suchen.Read more
