Udaipur - City Palace

After an early morning flight from Jaipur, we started exploring Udaipur with a tour of the City Palace. The moghuls (Islam leaders) did not overtake this palace so the original Maharana’s (kings) ruled and kept the art and structure intact. The palace was PACKED due to the holiday. We had another sales pitch from Kashmir artisans selling pashmina scarves and silk rugs. Due to the unrest in the north, the palace offers shops for them to keep their art alive. We definitely supported them and bought a beautiful rug😜! We finished our tour with a tuk tuk ride through the old town. Udaipur is a slow haven compared to our other cities we visited!Read more
