    Heading south
    Stopped off at Old Petrie Town - 40 acres with old Queensland historical buildings, live steam, forge, pottery and various craft shops, cafes and a Sunday market. Met up with Tracy (of Mt Barney farm) again.
    Then on to the Bruce H'way/PCW/M1 again for an hour or so, off at Currumbin to take the windy, scenic route to Murwillumbah.
    Great camp spot on the Oxley River with platypus, sea Eagles, fish jumping, and the usual birds!    En savoir plus

    Early start for the push South. Watched the platypus and sea Eagles while having breakfast. Morning coffee at Nimbin - you know you're in Nimbin!! Back roads again to lunch at Grafton. Lots of road works as repairs from flood damage from 2022/3 still underway. Briefly onto the M1 before taking the waterfall way to Dorrigo. Temp's are dropping .......En savoir plus

    Showers early, so on the road by 8am. Completed Waterfall Way. Started at 780m, up to 1380m as we crossed the Great Divide. Short stop at Oxley Wild Rivers NP to see the Gorge waterfalls and views - mind 🤯 Definitely coming back to this area to walk some trails
    Another google adventure on the 'fastest' route to Nundle - the forest way is exactly what it says! State production forest roads and logging. Bonus Wedgie (we think), wallabies, and lots of different 🦜 (unidentified)
    Woollen mill visit, then onto the New England highway. Saw spectacular views and road trains+ to Murrurundi. Pub dinner - we've earnt it!    En savoir plus

    Frosty @Murrurundi but melted quickly. New England h'way to Muswellbrook for coffee and cake at the cheese factory.
    New England and Golden H'way drive with amazing views, lots of horses ($$) and deep holes in the ground (coal)
    Took the road between Wollemi and Yengo NPs. Roads still under repair from 2022 floods
    Into Wentworth Falls for a luxury stay at Falls Mountain Retreat (spa bath included).    En savoir plus

    Quick walk around Wentworth Falls lookouts, before leaving the car at Glenbrook and catching the train into Sydney to stay with Lukas and Arita overnight. Great Chinese meal at Lotus, George Street. Ferry to Watson Bay and walked around southern head, watched dolphins in Camp Cove, then lunch at Doyles Fish Cafe. Back to Glenbrook for the weekendEn savoir plus

    Train to Glenbrook, and spent the weekend with Doug and Michelle.
    South Lawson Falls walk Saturday morning, then dinner in Glenbrook (italian).
    Sunday - Print Museum at Penrith, fascinating (to my surprise). From Gutenburg era, to the demise of the last letter printed press paper in 2023 (in Dorrigo)
    Checked out the Mt Portal lookout in Glenbrook.    En savoir plus

    Left Glenbrook after coffee and cake at Underground (& school times had finished), taking back roads south as much as possible. Rain started at 7am, cleared by 2pm.
    Lunch at Fitzroy Falls, then through Kangaroo Valley (narrow, winding and more road works!), then hit A1 to Bendalong. Most of Bendalong is caravan park on a headland, and one shop (The Hub) for the whole area. Fishing is its reason for being!

    Rain started overnight and we got in front at Mogo at 10.30am. Great coffee and cake, interesting town to wander about.
    Dropped into Tilda (national trust Village) before taking the coastal road via Bermagui, Tathra and Merimbula to Pambula Beach. Booked a cabin for overnight as more rain forecast in the morning. Walked the headland- lovely spot in the off seasonEn savoir plus
