    1st Two Days at Sea

    First two days at sea spent finding where things were, enjoying meals, entertainment and relaxation.
    Saw a little comedy preview, a Dance performance called burn the floor, and late night dueling pianos, where a couple ladies and a guy took requests and played a bunch of fun songs from past decades.Read more

    Damajagua Waterfall, Puerto Plata

    We did the Damajagua Waterfall excursion, and had fun jumping into the pools of water that stair-stepped down the narrow canyon of rock and enjoyed the natural rock slides.

    Magens Bay, St Thomas

    Got to St Thomas and Mom and I headed to Magens Bay to enjoy the beach and some snorkeling in warm water. Mike and Denice went Scuba Diving. You didn't have to even try to float, you could fall asleep in the water. Saw some Sea Turtles and large schools of silverfish, that the Magnificent Frigatebird and pelicans would dive into the water and get. Move had fun looking for rocks and shells along the banks of the bay and we enjoyed the day.Read more

    Philipsburg, Sint Maarten

    Got into Sint Maarten, rented a car, and did a loop around the island, stopping at a windy French side resort and had some Gelato and walked the beach at Orient Bay. Then we drove to Grand Case and had lunch at "Cynthia's Talk of the Town" which had open BBQ and huge portions. It was a nice area with beautiful water and nice people. As we headed back to the ship, we got a lesson in how if there is a traffic issue on the main road somewhere on an island, there is no getting around it....long story short, we made it back 5 mins before the boat left lol. I think this was my favorite island.Read more

    Last Days at sea before going back to NY

    December 17, 2023, North Atlantic Ocean ⋅ 🌬 20 °C

    Bermuda was dealing with bad weather so we missed that port but enjoyed the trip home, but it was much nicer moving from cold oceans to warm than the reverse. Even saw some dolphins jumping in front of the cruise ship one day as I was on the balcony.

    It was a wonderful trip, was so nice to have time to enjoy some great shows, including a Fleetwood Mac Rumours Cover Band, Dueling Pianos, good Comedy and a Remake of the Sun Records famous studio session of the Million Dollar Quartet with Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Elivs Presley and Johnny Cash.

    We had way too much food, but also just enjoyed spending time together playing games and visiting. Was a great vacation.    Read more
