    Henry Lawsons birth place. Lots of history here they call it the Ten Dollar Town because the building that is on the Aus 10 dollar note is here. Lots of yhe old building still being used today.

    Free camp back of hotel awesome.
    Went exploring the little town today called at the Heritage Village Museum what a excellent collection of cars, machinary, tools, toys and Bikes from yerts gone by. This is a local mans from here personel collection from over many years. All restored and working today. The little Blue car even has a four stroke motor in it with lights. Defiently recommend anyone to call in here and check it out. The movie Born to run was filmed using props and locals of the town.Read more

    The clouds were so low the hills tops hidden under the clouds.

    This is all part of the Liverpool Plains. Another beautiful part of NSW. Pulled up to camp 15 bucks a night power, water back of bowling club. Going to club tonight for tea, pockies and might even come home with meat raffle lol.
    Bugger no pockies and didnt win the raffle but the club and meal was honestly the best meal ive had in the last six months. Garlic prawns chips and salad. 20 bucks

    Next stop checked out the Silo art another wonderful display. It has a night time show where it lights up and tell the story. Not staying the night here so have to see that part another time.

    Another free camping area we checked out today. Put on the tick list of reccomendations for sure. Its a masive area wright on the Dam. 10 dollars a night toilets, showers, dump point. Can put in boats and seems a lot of people fish there.Read more

    Went day driving checking out the scenery and free camp spots for future reference. Free camping area 20k out of Nandle In hanging rock right up the top of mountain this place is amazing. Put on the places to come back to list.Read more

    Bit of a error on my behave lol thought this was the place where the movie was made about but apparently Im in the wrong state lol. Its in Vic not NSW. Went out to the hanging rock lookout omg so high up on the hill viees were amazing. Hanging rock pioneer village was across from the lookout its where the founders of the aston circus grave are. Again very moving place to visit. Lots of forest clearing happening but lots of new trees planted.Read more

    Booked in for 3 night to the caravan park in this beautiful small little country town 50k out of tamworth. Such a wonderful place river runs right along the caravan park. Driving around tomorrow exploring tis gem of a place. Checked out the wool spinning mill today very interesting how its done its won so many awards as a tourist site.Read more

    Finished off the tourist stuff last couple days. Went to Wax Museum watched the Aussie day celebration fireworks. Leaving tomorrow snuck a extra night free no one told us to move so waited for all the crowds to leave town.Read more

  • Split Rock Dam Upper Manilla

    Free camp just outside Manilla. Took a drive out to maybe stay when we leave Tamworth. It was nice but not very level and heaps of dead fish in the dam. So no not going to stay there.

  • Glen Riddle Reserve

    Tamworth region. Came across this little beauty of a spot on our way to finding Slpit Rock Dam. Think we might stay here a night or two. Very friendly cows as neighbours lol. Could say we were right out in hillbilly town. Got to the end of the road where we were to turn but all gates were locked. So had to go back another 40k to get back on the road. Little bit of a lesson learnt dont trust you gps maps lol.Read more

    Caught a couple of shows over the last few days all girl singer doing country women acts. Really enjoyed them all oldlies but goodies. Went last night to a orchestral country show. Absolutley brilliant Troy Cassar-Daly, Beccy Cole, Amber Lawrence, Travis Collins, Adam Harvey Tania Kernaghan and more. They all sang songs backed by a 38 piece orchestra the sound was amazing.Read more
