New journeys

Turning Retirement dreams into reality. Les mer
  • Sandstone

    21. oktober 2025, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 24 °C

Early start today drove to Sandstone. What a beautiful clean little town did some sightseeing around town then drove out to London Bridge and the Brewery in the bush. The Brewery was constructed in 1907 to provide for the many miners working in the area.
London Bridge was formed of weathered basalt and is believed to be about 350 million years old. unfortunately the Bridge is getting thinner and will eventually fall down.
On the road again today meet a little friend on the road he was in no hurry to cross over thats for sure lol. Our next free camp 35k from Sandstone.
Peter Deny lookout beautiful views great place probably stay here couple nights.

  • Exmouth Day Trip

    21. september 2025, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

Had a fantastic day exploring the beautiful beaches in Exmouth.
Saw a fish ball under the jetty amazing sight to see thousands of bait fish and large fish under them. They would lie on their sides and jump up to catch the live bait. Meet a guy who was fishing and he had so many fish that he said did we want one he just caught. Alan cooked it on bbq tonight for tea so yummy.
Saw heaps of whales and dolphins off the coast wonderful to see them breaching out the water.
Had feet in water until I spotted a bull nose shark just swimming around so close. Yeah safe to say got out pretty quickly lol.
We have decided to book another 2 nights here at Bullara so we can explore all it has to offer off to coral bay tomorrow to swim with the fish. Hopfully it is a clearer than it was last time we came .
Unfortunately Drake is not allowed to go on beach in the bay as its sanctuary waters. So Gary is staying back here with him.

  • Beasley River Rest Area.

    16.–17. sep. 2025, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

    Overnight free camp
Very nice quiet area. Pitty people are so lazy and just dump rubbish everywhere.
Why people don't just take their rubbish with them if bins are full and just drop them at next Park Bay is beyond me. it's not hard to keep place tidy for next visitors.Les mer

  • Karagini Dales Campgroud

    11.–14. sep. 2025, Australia ⋅ 🌬 22 °C

All set up for 3 days of exploring Karajini gorges.
First hike down to Fortescue Falls and fern pool. Omg absolutely amazing had a very early swim in fern pool so refreshing. Then of to the Falls and the many stairs down to the bottom the gorge. That was the easy part then walked all along the bottom to the exit which was a 100m steep vertical climb on the rock walls. I cant even begin to explain how bloody hard it was I literally spider crawled all the way up photos don't even begin to give it justice. So bloody proud of Alan Alana and myself for achieving it. And Gary well without him I really don't think we would of made it thanks babe.Les mer
