The next day Joschi and I drove on to Rethymno. There we are surprised by the rain on the way to the beach. In the evening we had dinner in a very good Indian restaurant.
Traveler Wo habt ihr zwei Wandervögel die anderen gelassen? Auf jeden Fall viel Spass und tolle Eindrücke.

Lake Kourn

Today we walked about an hour into the country to Lake Kourn. There we were able to rent a paddle boat with which we explored the lake. We saw lots of turtles and a crab. In the evening we ate in the restaurant by the lake, where we were served very well. We were allowed to set up our tent right next to the lake and even build a small fire.Read more

On the morning we were woken up by the geese and ducks that live by the lake. After a coffee and an interview on a local TV station, we set off for Chania. After a few attempts to stop a car, an Austrian couple took us with Chania. We walked around the harbor with them for a while and had a cafe. Afterwards I went to the beach, unfortunately only for a short time because it was very windy and cold. In the evening we walked through the streets for a bit and had a local drink.Read more

Chania again

I was woken up in the night by the rain and wind. I was a bit worried about getting wet because I couldn't tie down the tent because the ground was too hard. I tried to repair the tent a bit by pushing heavy objects into the corners. I was lucky, in the morning I was able to put the tent together with sunshine and then walked for about an hour along the beach to Chania. I met Joschi again in Chania and we looked at a museum and then went to the hostel to leave our luggage. The hostel took a lot of getting used to. In the evening it stormed and rained very heavily.Read more

Today we flew to Athens by plane. There I bought a ticket for the hop on hop if bus to get a rough overview of the city. The bus tour went out of the city center, to Piraeus and then along the coast to Vouliagmeni and back again. The promenade felt endless and was characterized by beaches whitch were interrupted by smaller and larger ports. Afterwards I walked to the Philopappos Hill, where I was able to admire a beautiful view of the Akropolis. In the evening I strolled through the still very busy streets looking for a cozy bar.🥂Read more

This morning I decided not to go on the road trip but to stay here in Arhen. We went for breakfast with our roommate. Afterwards we said goodbye and my journey continued alone. I grabbed my backpack and went to the beach. I then booked another accommodation in Athens because I wanted to socialize with people. I had a very enjoyable evening in a cozy little hostel.Read more
