Lisboa to Forte da Casa

Well I’m here in one piece. It was a whopping 32 degrees today all day. My walk was mainly along a never ending boardwalk, no cafes no shade, no shops. Luckily I prepared, plenty of water, sun sleeves, sun hat and good old trusty once a day sun lotion. I’m tired but not burnt. I do have hikers rash but some antihistamine and ibuprofen and that should be ok in the morning. It’s a shorter day tomorrow and hopefully not so hot. The pictures of the bridge don’t do it justice it’s a whopping 17.2 km long. I did want to walk it but it was the wrong way and vehicles only.Read more
