• Golega to Tomar

Well it was a 32km walk today with a lot of steep, steep hills and I mean really steep hills . If I’d have leaned backwards I would have landed at the bottom again. It was my last day walking with Olar from Sweden and I’ll definitely miss his humour tomorrow. He is now heading to Porto and I will take the Tomar Route to Fatima. Interesting fact this Camino I have walked the Targus Route, Camino de Santiago and Tomar Route not many people can say that!!! Most people take one of the first two and part ways in Azambuja. However what’s an extra 40+ miles for fun when you’ve come this far 🤣 we walked through a ghost village today it was eerily quiet in the pics it’s the big pink building. The village was owned by a wealthy family and it housed them, had a hotel and many small houses. When the owners died basically the village died, workers lived out their days there until one day it was all left empty. You can wander around some of the buildings but they’ve been empty for so many years they are a tad dangerous so we decided not to.Læs mere
