• A rest day 🤣 in Valencia

    February 9 in Spain ⋅ ☁️ 63 °F

So I set off on my circular - ish route today to see as many sights as possible without doing myself harm. I learnt a little more about Valencia when planning the route yesterday. With that in mind I factored in the riverbed park. This park snakes all the way through Valencia 9km.
The original river was diverted after a catastrophic flood in 1957, and the former river bed now houses exuberant gardens and vegetation, gullivers park, games areas, cafes and much more. Some of the new modern buildings are mind blowing. Something that fascinated me are the orange trees baring fruit throughout the city and gardens, just there for everyone’s enjoyment. This is another place worth coming back to, it an exceptionally close 2nd to Lisbon for me but it’s still very very impressive.
