We woke up early, walked to a conbini for egg sandies, and then embarked on our Snorkeling tour with Andy; a German tour guide who had been diving here for 7 years. In stereotypical form, he was polite but super blunt. Apparently my listed weight and height was more muscle than fat from what he expected, as our initial booking made him worry about any of his life vests fitting 😅
He made some weather/wave checks, and we started in. It had been a minute for both of us, but we got the hang of snorkeling pretty quick. The area was beautiful, although the reef had a decent amount of bleaching. We saw some unique finds like a Napoleon fish, sea snake, squid, and the main attraction: sea turtles. Andy was very good at spotting them and knew their typical breathing patterns to help time when they would rise for air. We got to swim with a turtle whenever it rose from it's ocean bed nap/belly scratches to get some air. We had some get really close to us! Definitely was an amazing experience; we both want to do more snorkeling in the future (luckily have more booked for tomorrow).もっと詳しく
