While I was done with the hiking portion of the Kumano Kodo, there was one final grand shrine to see. On my way to Nagoya I stopped by Kumano Hayatama Taisha. This shrine was down the river from Hongu Taisha, and was seen as a trading point between the seaside towns and the inner mountains. With that I had seen all three of the Kumano Sanzan!

Apparently miso is a big deal in Nagoya, so I sought out a Miso Katsu place at the station. A sumo pig mascot greeted me at the front; always a good sign when the mascot is the animal you're eating. The Nagoya twist to Tonkatsu is that instead of a Worcester sauce, they use a sweeter miso based sauce and it was delicious. A bit worn from the last few days, I tucked in early and watched a One Piece Movie that was only in Japanese. Didn't understand much, but turns out the plot is pretty easy to follow on the action alone (and with my keen Observation Haki).
