• Sapporo Bound

    5 Ekim 2024, Japonya ⋅ ☁️ 20 °C

Hokkaido is much larger than I expected, and the train ride back to Sapporo was almost 4 hours. At the station, I enjoyed coffee with a side of Carbonara Pasta; an odd pairing but it was fairly common to see at Kissatens. On the way to Sapporo, I stopped at Lake Toya, which is caldera that long ago filled with water. An island sits in near the center and makes for an idealic view. I visited one of the many onsen hotels and enjoyed a day pass to their outdoor onsen that had a good view of the lake (if you looked over the chest high modesty fence). I found a tiny brewery after soaking and enjoyed a beer next to the lake as the sun set. After that, back to the train and off to Sapporo. I checked into my cafe/bookshop/hotel that was along the Tanuki Arcade (covered walking mall). It was a cozy place, and certainly my type of vibe. I could have checked out any of the books to read as a guest, but understandably they were all in Japanese.Okumaya devam et
