Kobe/Kyoto

A one and a half hour's drive from the port to Kyoto. Miserable rainy weather (9 degrees) wasn't ideal for experiencing the beautiful gardens surrounding the Nijo-Jo castle. After lunch the sun came out long enough to enjoy the Kinkaku-ji Temple complex (including the shimmering golden pavilion). Heavy traffic back to the ship meant that the tour guide had time to teach us all how to count to 1000 in Japanese!Baca lagi
