    So today I had a really good day we moved two herd of cattle and brought the big lot into the yards to sort. The actual sorting of them wasn't great but we have alot better handling systems in the UK than they do over here.
    But loved herding all the cattle on horse back felts unstoppable.

  • International womens day

    So we went to this fancy International lunch things. It was actually better than I thought it was going to be there were guest speakers and two were so inspirational. Was really inspiring! So I brought one of their book back to read. I know me read aren't you proud mum and dad!! Also had a great lunch and make a free set of earrings. Can't go wrong!Read more

  • Not a typical farming day

    So today I ended up building a bird cage, helping put the roof on anyway. The other two guy which were doing it were both scared of heights so muggings had to do all of the higher work.

  • 25km kind of day

    So today all I did was ride first I took the neighbour for a short ride round the fields.
    This afternoon me and Bec went to the forest for a really lovely ride was amazing trotting and cantering up all the hills exploring and we did about 16km there. So was ride to ride somewhere else than the farm. Bring on an endurance ride!Read more

  • Hoof trimming

    Today I was given the chance to learn how to trim horses feet it was so great being able to do something like that. Very satisfying but very hard work.

  • First Endurance Ride

    This weekend I went to my first endurance ride.
    I ended up doing two 40km rides one on Friday and one on Saturday. By the end of the weekend I am very surprised I am not in a wheel chair but I am feeling pretty good. Rode Ruby for then both. The second ride on Saturday was really enjoyable she was listening to me and became a really lovely ride.
    Alex and brax were talk of the ride on Saturday as they went for their 5km ride and even did the vetting. Was really cute. The Easter bunny also came for them on Sunday. 🐰

  • Childhood dream

    Helped open the shop this morning was a nice early start. And actually got to live my childhood dream of being a shop keeper, after my mum DEPRIVED me of a till even though I asked for one for Christmas ever since I was really little. I feel like a kid again even though the novelty wore of very quickly. Definitely not an adult dream of mine. 😂Read more

  • Doing my own thing

    I was left to do my own thing today so got all the tack from the other weekend wash and while I waited I started working on the two weaned calves I have got to halter break. Then after I sorted all the sheep's feet out. Was quite a productive day.

    Today was an amazing day went to the australian zoo. It was so cool to see what Steve Irvine had created and his family were carrying on. He still very much lives on there with videos and pictures I'd him all over the place. The Croc show was amazing. Such a great experience and very thankful for Bec and Craig taking me!!Read more

    Well today I been up to something I never thought I would do. I installed 20 solar panels on the roof I put them up all of my own with Craig passing me things, as everyone is scared of heights. 😂

    Today was kind of said saying good bye to the boys. They got a bit upset amd was a bit strange leaving again, traveling is a very surreal experience.     This morning we got up far to early and made the two hour flight down to Melbourne. Its like a whole different country alot colder and its more like autumn leaves are falling off the trees.
    It's quite strange really brisbane is a very modern high rise city and we came here and amongst all the huge sky scrapers there are these beautiful old building, cathedrals and church.Read more

  • Diet needed urgently

    Had some amazing food since being here think excessive and a diet Is coming my way.
    Also went to St kilda which is nice town by the sea. Way to cold and rainy for a beach day

    We went to a really nice market they have here which you could literally buy everything it was amazing was hoping there might be free samples but no unfortunately not.
    Next we headed to a botanical garden which was beautiful quite strange being right in the centre of the city.

  • First leg in the camper

    We picked up the camper today and traveled around 300km ish well about 4 hours. Now we are settled in I have organised everything in the camper to try and make it liveable.

    So the last couple of days we have been here there and everywhere from bairnsdale to batman's Bay. Seeing all the different beaches and walks there is about. Also found a beach with very squeaky sand I had Lot of fun with it 😀

    The last three days we have spent in Sydney. We are very lucky and definitely came at the right time as a big light show has been happening every night called vivid. The opera house was amazing even had a guided tour round the inside. While we have been here we also visited Bondi beach even though it was a tad to cold to be a beach babe and also the Sydney sea life centre which was really cool. I was defiantly tempted to buy a penguin Teddy 😀!Read more

    The last couple of days I have been in byron bay where it has finally been warm and I actually had a beach day where it was warm !!!!
    Got up way to early this morning at 5:30 to go to the light house to watch the sun rise as its the furthest easterly point of australia. We even ended up seeing a pod of dolphins.Read more

    Stopped off at Noosa and finally was warm enough yo have a beach day. I even went in the sea was still cold though. Went for a lovely walk in the morning as well along the coastal edge.

    The last few days I have spent round Goomeri visiting Bec,Craig, the boys and Clint which was really lovely
    Felt so nice to know people and be in a fermiliar place
    I also had a very exciting morning the other morning becs neighbour asked me if I could watch her collie dog while she had her puppies. It was the most amazing thing ever so glad I got to go it. Unforgettable experience!Read more

    My next stop was rainbow beach. It was a lovely quiet peaceful town with amazing beaches and sand dunes.
    It's famous for its multicoloured sand.

  • Fraizer island

    Had the most amazing time on fraizer island we had a big group of 25 really amazing people.
    We saw some amazing scenery and a animals like dingos, dolphins, whales, white bellied eagle and a turtle but unfortunately it was dead.
    Was living the really hippy life camping and never wore shoes the whole time.
    Was so nice to not have phones for three days as well as it became a massive detox and make everyone be really sociable. Great memories.

  • Bundaburg

    Today I went to bundaburg rum distillery it was amazing so interesting learning the process. They had huge sheds 5m deep full of Molasses. And the yeast is actually sourced from Norwich England which I thought was really cool.
    And I am also not the only brit who likes it Prince Charles really likes it too, he has been there twice now.
    Got to say the best but was the tasting I tried salted caramel rum liquor and the other was the a rum made in barrels which have has red wine and port in them.
